Your Wellbeing Matters.

About Me:

Hi, my name is Gursharanjeet Goldy Bhatoye; I prefer to be called Goldy.

I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with over 10 years experience working within an NHS Talking Therapies service.

I offer both face to face and online Psychological Therapy tailored to help you manage your anxiety, depression and low mood.

I am passionate about mental health, I have close ones who have been impacted by depression and anxiety. I acknowledge and understand it causes distress and reduces quality of life.

Work, relationships, hobbies and home life can be affected by low mood and anxiety which leads to withdrawal and social isolation.

In Powering Minds Therapy, I am here to understand your experience and difficulties. In turn, I aim to support you to help manage your depression and anxiety.

I like to practice what I preach, with my spare time I like to I go for walks with my dog, enjoy exercising in the gym and I value spending quality time with loved ones.

I am experienced in working with a range of disorders from depression, low mood, PTSD, trauma, and various anxiety disorders. The services I offer in Powering Minds Therapy is tailored to your individual needs and requirements. I aim to empower you to become your own therapist.

I am passionate about being a clinician and it truly makes me happy seeing a patient from the start of their therapy journey towards discharge, to see a patient reclaim their life is priceless.

Through my experience, I have worked with highly emotive and distressed patients particularly with patients presenting with symptoms consistent with PTSD using either Trauma-Focused CBT or EMDR. I have used grounding and resourcing and  successfully processing their traumatic experience(s).

Coming from a BAME background, I am mindful of cultural beliefs and barriers that might prevent patients accessing services, in Powering Minds Therapy, I aim to reduce barriers by having a shared understanding of the constraints and issues we face in our South Asian community (The Kings Fund, 2020).

I also work as a Clinical Educator (Lecturer) for the PGDip Training CBT course in Keele University. I am Supervisor trained CBT and I have delivered clinical supervision to both trainee therapists and qualified therapists.
